One little secret to look out for is “blow by” debris. If any amount of water gets by unfiltered, you WILL have issues with algae and water clarity. Whether it’s a cracked collector manifold or a missing bypass filter – if these things are not checked every time you clean your filter, you can be fighting a losing battle.Also it’s especially important to put your filter back together properly after cleaning. If it’s not reassembled properly after cleaning, you can lose all the water in the pool, if not sealed up. It could also damage the equipment if it were to blow apart, as there is a lot of pressure in the tank.
