Why Hire a Licensed Pool Contractor For Repairs or Remodel?

We are all looking for a good bargain, but when it comes to your pool’s repairs and equipment, never skimp when dealing with gas or electrical related issues. The results could be catastrophic. Spend the money to hire a contractor whom is licensed in their specialty. A licensed person has the required education, experience, insurance and qualifications to obtain a license. They must pass a competency examination before practicing. Licensed individuals are screened for prior criminal history and their license can be revoke if they are not living up to professional standards. Non-licensed contractors may not be insured, leaving you liable for any injuries or damages.  There may be little recourse if you have issues with non-licensed contractors since the state isn’t governing their actions. Most importantly, hiring a non licensed contractor could put your safety at risk and end up costing you more in the long run. Recently, we have seen a number of heater fires due to unqualified repair people working on heaters. Often times, even if they can get the heater working, they may put the warranty at risk by damaging the equipment.
